About

The Baspa (Sangla) Valley is one of Kinnaur's most beautiful sub-valleys — a lush gorge where apple orchards cascade down to the turquoise Baspa River. The main village of Sangla is surrounded by dense pine forests and overlooked by Kamru Fort, a 15th-century fort and heritage monument. Sangla is the base camp for day trips to Chitkul (28 km) and the gateway to the remote villages of Rakchham and Rakcham.
