About

Triund is the most accessible high-altitude trek from McLeod Ganj — a 7 km trail that climbs through rhododendron forests and rocky terrain to a broad ridge at 2,828 m, where panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range unfold in every direction. The campsite on the ridge, with its 180° view of Kangra Valley on one side and Dhauladhar glaciers on the other, has made Triund one of the most photographed camping destinations in north India. The trail is manageable for beginners, making it an ideal first Himalayan trekking experience.
